(LAS CRUCES) – The 2011 “NMSU Aggies Are Tough Enough to Wear Pink” football game will be played October 15th against the Idaho Vandals and event organizers are planning a week of special events celebrating “Cinco de Pink.”
“This is our fifth year,” said TETWP co-chair Pat Sisbarro, “and Cinco de Pink just seems to capture the spirit of what we do. Our work is a celebration of life as much as it is a fight against breast cancer. As we plan our events, we’re in the process of reaching out to last year’s sponsors and looking for new contributors.”
Since its first campaign in 2007, the TETWP committee has generated more than $1 million dollars in cash and in-kind contributions for Cowboys for Cancer Research, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation in Las Cruces.
Already committed to the 2011 campaign are title sponsors New Mexico State University, Memorial Medical Center and Mountainview Regional Medical Center. So far, 2011 events will include:
